Barbecue Grilled Salmon
- 8 oz. Skin on Salmon (the larger salmon pieces are easier to grill; when the skin is left on, it gives it more moisture)
- Cooking spray
- Hickory River Smokehouse Rub; if not available, use Slap Yo Mama Seasoning
- Hickory River Smokehouse Barbecue Sauce, Mild, Hot, or Honey (use your favorite)
- Preheat grill on high for 5 minutes
- Spray both sides of Salmon with spray
- Season salmon side with rubOpen grill lid, turn grill to med-low
- Spray with cooking spray generously, however, be very careful, the spray will cause a flame up
- Place Salmon on the grill, skin side up
- Grill for 2 mins, then rotate a quarter turn, this will produce grill marks
- Grill for 2 mins, then flip to skin side down
For crispier skin, turn grill to med-high, but be careful not to overcook
Recommend turning your grill to low and cook the salmon slow. Usually cooks for approximately 12 mins, depending on the grill and size of Salmon. During the last 3 minutes of grilling, brush with your favorite Hickory River Smokehouse Barbecue Sauce. Heat some additional sauce for a few seconds and serve with Salmon for dipping
